in september.

This fuchsia consists of hundreds of dahlias.
In 1993 it could be admired at a flowershow called Floralia, in the park of Staniastate at Oenkerk
(a village in the province of Friesland in the Netherlands), where they have these shows every two years in September - about 15 to 20 of these flowerpieces are made there, around a theme which is chosen beforehand, and there is also a contest with prizes.
This fuchsia didn't really get a prize, only an honourable mention.
The theme wasn't fuchsias, but verses - in this case a Dutch song about fuchsia-cuttings.

Later communication, summer 2000:
Alas! In the new millennium it was decided to stop with the good Floralia-tradition.
It was said to be too expensive for the declining amount of visitors.
In my opinion, the weather often was a great obstacle in the rather late season.
