Diana Wills

Diana Wills Gadsby 1968 GB HH D wit/witroze-top groen rood/roze/wit / B/T D white/whitepink bluepurple

Ouders / Parentage :     'Pepi' x  ?

The flowers of 'Diana Wills' have beautiful double corollas with flamed petals, being purplish and mauve when newly-opened and turn to shades of pink when older, a well-known feature of purple and mauve. Also the growing-spot and the lightfall can play a role.
This explains that people judging the colors had different findings, looking at the short cultivar-list descriptions in Dutch (red/pink/white) and in English (bluepurple).

I saw this fuchsia at the show at Ootmarsum, a lovely big plant with many flowers, but I used to have one myself during several years. Meagre results with growth and flowering, though, maybe because I couldn't give it the best of conditions.
I once read a description saying it needed a sheltered spot, even preferrably inside.
I suppose it requires overwintering in a pot inside a greenhouse, which I can't offer it.
